Robert Copty (Bob) is the past Chairman of the Board of Zoning Appeals for the City of Roanoke and is a founder of the Blue Ridge Region of Virginia, an economic development entity focusing on the New River Valley, Roanoke Valley and Central Virginia areas.
Before he started Copty & Company, Bob was an Associate Broker with another regional commercial firm. The Real Estate Board of Virginia and North Carolina currently licenses him. He has been the developer and consultant on warehouse, office, manufacturing and industrial park facilities in and around the Roanoke Valley and throughout Virginia.
Bob has been licensed for over 28 years as a Real Estate Broker/Agent and has been active in commercial Real Estate Sales and Leasing for the past 16 years. He is a previous member of the Board of Directors for the Roanoke Valley Board of Realtors and served on the Professional Standards Committee for 18 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Virginia, 1971.
